The streets in the north of Tel Aviv are quiet and green, with peaceful and safe vibe and upmarket shopping & dining – a perfectly affluent place for young families.
Namal Tel Aviv (the Tel Aviv Port) has recently been restored and is now one of the hottest places in town. Today, it is an area of culture, entertainment and leisure activities. A huge wooden deck covers 14,000 sqm and acts as a promenade running along the seafront. Shaped like waves in the sea, in the daytime this unique promenade becomes crowded, along with the rest of the port, with families venturing out for great food & shopping; and in the evenings numerous bars and clubs transform it into one of Tel Aviv’s most popular nightlife venues.
A sprawling stretch of green, HaYarkon Park is based around the Yarkon River. The park offers plenty of recreational activities. One can hire a boat on the river or the lake, rent a bicycle, or try one of the many walking trails. "Sportech" is a spacious facility offering a rock-climbing wall, basketball and soccer pitches, and areas for skateboarding and rollerblading. The park also features several nature-related attractions: water park filled with slides and pools, Rock Garden of about 10 acres with dozens of types of rock brought from all parts of the country and hundreds of plant species, and much more.
