Kikar HaMedina (The State Square), located in the northern part of Tel Aviv, is one of the largest squares in Israel. The square itself is a leveled area which has foot paths and sitting areas shaded by tall trees. Kikar HaMedina is surrounded by a circular street which has become in recent decades a home to prestigious designer stores, where the best of Israeli and international fashion brand names are sold. These stores are situated on the ground floors of residential buildings which look over the square. It is one of the most expensive areas of the city.
